WEDNESDAY 5th/
NOVEMBER 2014.
We were
both up early this morning and after a quick cup of tea & toast I went and
met Andy down by the ‘Plaza de la Vendima’ to go in his car across to the
airport in Malaga; meanwhile back in ‘Doggy World Heaven’ & ‘Bird Sanctuary
Paradise’ ‘Scruffy’ slept in his executive bed not the marble floor under our
bed and ‘Charlie’ goes to sleep when you put a blanket over his cage! Little
princess ‘Reina’ was dropped off this morning first thing just after I left.
The drive
across to the airport along the coast road was spectacular as the sun was just
rising over the Mediterranean , today it’s dry and sunny but a little crisp and getting better over
the next few days. It took us just an hour to reach the airport and the new
road in is very direct; I shot back in Andy’s car and have put it away in the
underground car park for the week. See the picture below of Andy outside the
Departure terminal. A nice Smoked Bacon ‘Buttie’ and a mug of steaming tea was
ready when I got back up to the house!
My trip to
the bus station over in Marbella later to take our friend Lillemor
was cancelled last night as she had found out that some other Swedish people
next to where she lives were going back on the same flight so they offered to
take her to the airport! She coming back in the New Year. Still no sign of our
German friends Claus & Doreen arriving back, we thought they would be here
by now?! Our new German friend Kathrin from England has just been over for a very quick
visit to sort out a couple of things out but is going to contact us when she is
next over!
We have
just come back from a walk with the three dogs – ‘Chispa – Scruffy & Reina’
as you can see in the picture below, I’m wearing my purple shirt as you can
see!
On Facebook
there were a couple of messages from ‘Up North’ in Skelton from the ‘Queen’ it
turns out that the postcard that we received the other day was a special mobile
phone app/production from Den, some very cleaver stuff and it was in a special
envelope – we are impressed ! Josie was also showing some concern for my health
as they would like me to be around for quite a while longer, the word ‘Salads’
was used, I’ve informed Josie that’s its for ‘Rabbits’!! – I’ve no plans to go any where and I’m also
planning to stay here for a long time yet in sunny Manilva!! You’ve been warned
there’s a ‘Sexton About’!!
So this
evening we are having last nights leftover ‘Cottage Pie’ and vegetables, it was
just right for the evening, comfort food at is best even if I do say so myself.
We will then channel hop and find something to watch;
