SATURDAY 22nd/
NOVEMBER 2014.
Well it’s a
grey and overcast day here in sunny Manilva as forecast but the wind has
dropped a little and the rain that is forecast for tomorrow is not as heavy,
it’s still on the 22/23degs mark! We have a quiet weekend ahead as we have no
guests in ‘Doggy World Heaven’ – next week we are busy as we have ‘Charlie’
with us for four days and ‘Reina’ for two days and no doubt ‘Scruffy’ as well –
we are going for a ‘four- dog- day’ when ‘Chispa’ come calling! See the picture below taken by Brenda on her Mobile phone of 'Chispa' at lunchtime;
So this
morning after breakfast I shot along to our local bank and then carried on down
to the butchers for some ‘Braising Steak’ as for a change tomorrow I’m going to
make “Braised Steak with Shallots, Onions, Mushrooms & Vegetables” for our
‘Sunday Special’ – Brenda is making some of her famous Mashed Potato and
Cabbage with Alselgas to go with it! Comfort food to die for!!
Today we
are having an at home day taking things easy, Brenda is catching up with all
her chores, she tells me, meanwhile I’m up in the office keeping out of the way
as I watch BBC TV 1 Breakfast News on the small PC before ‘Saturday Kitchen
Live’ and at the same time type the Blog on the larger PC.
Later on
both PCs I will try and watch the ‘Rugby Union Internationals’ as Wales welcome
the New Zealand ‘All Blacks’ and England take on Samoa; back to football as in
the ‘Premiere League’ Everton welcome West Brom,Manchester City play Swansea
and tomorrow Liverpool travel to Crystal Palace. Meanwhile over here in ‘La
Liga’ Barcelona Seville
The ‘Grand
Prix’ season come to an end over in Abu Dhabi as Lewis Hamilton can become the
‘World Champion’ by either winning or
coming second as he’s 17 points clear at the top ahead of his teammate Rosberg –
for this race only they have changed the points system, its 50 points for a win
not 25!
This
evening for supper we are having Grilled ‘Entrecote Steak’ with Sautéed
Mushrooms and finely sliced Green Beans, a Baked Potato with a Mixed Salad on
the side.
It will
then be time to find something to watch after catching up with the world and
national news, sports round up and the weather details for the week ahead,
“Anniversary Week” here in sunny Manilva as a week today it’s our 43rd!
– we are at the moment planning our outfits, Brenda has just gone down to the
local fashion shop to she if she can find something as she has nothing to wear,
she informs me!! She has just returned with an ‘Oufit’ after spending all our
hard earned money!! We are going out to dinner at one of our old favorite
restaurants over in Guadamina “ Restaurante Victor ”
