A STILL WARM AND SUNNY MANILVA ON TUESDAY;

TUESDAY 4^th/ NOVEMBER 2014.

First the great news that Barbara had a bouncing baby boy (we knew already!) – Mother and baby “Leo” both doing well, she went in to labour yesterday morning at 5-30am and he arrived at 8-30am! Congratulations to Pete & Barbara on the arrival of their second son and to Jake, Megan & Leah on the arrival of their baby brother!!

So this morning little princess ‘Reina’ arrived early for the day with her very posh duvet as it’s a little cool for her at the moment, overnight the rain and wind arrived but at the moment its fine and sunny but a little cooler, only 23/24degs today! Over the next few days going up to the weekend it’s dry and sunny and getting a little warmer.

‘Scruffy’ is due at lunchtime with his sleeping bag as he’s with us for a sleep-over until Thursday morning; this evening ‘Charlie’ the African Grey Parrot is arriving for his weeks stay with us as Andy is going over to see his mother outside Derby, she’s not too well, Andy is joining us for tonight’s supper. 'Charlie' has just 'flown' in!!

Speaking of which I’ve just made my rather special savory/own recipe “ Cottage Pie ” topped with of course Brenda’s famous Mashed Potato! I cook the Beef Mince in a rich Beef & Vegetable stock, skimming it as it comes to the boil; meanwhile in another pan I sweat off the very small diced Carrots, Turnips, Leek, Celery & Onions along with a Garlic bud, de-glaze with a slug of Brenda’s White Wine and my secret ingredients to taste with finally a dash of Tomato Frito before adjusting the consistency after adding the two pans together! Brenda is at the moment getting the Cabbage with Alselgas and Baby Carrots mixed with Garden Peas ready. See below - ready for the oven tonight !

This evening Andy is going to give me a hand to go on-line and arrange an appointment for the ‘ITV-MOT’ on the car at the testing centre in Estepona. Next Tuesday afternoon !!

Of course this evening during supper we will be watching the ‘ Champions League’ second-leg game between Real Madrid and Liverpool which is live on ‘TVE 1’Liverpool lost 0-1 and also lost total respect as they fielded a under strength side of reserves !!
