THURSDAY 6th/
NOVEMBER 2014.
I took
‘Scruffy’ for his early morning walk before ‘Reina’ arrived as he was being
picked up later in the morning, meanwhile as we are having our usual breakfast
we take the cover off ‘Charlie’ and he starts chatting away! ‘Reina’has her
large Duvet cover with her and she uses it like a little house as she does feel
the cooler air, at the moment ‘Chispa has just arrived and is playing around my
feet and trying to get under the Duvet cover with ‘Reina’!
Today it’s
bright and crisp with the sun out but over the weekend there is a bit of the
wet stuff around, the temperatures are hovering at around the 20/21degs mark
for now! This means that we are now into wearing jumpers when we go out, at
lunchtime we are walking around to the surgery for our ‘Gripe – Anti-Flu Jabs’
At any moment the ‘Winter Fuel Allowance’ is due into our Spanish bank account,
us pensioners need it!
Tomorrow is
a ‘Doggy-Free’ day, no doubt ‘Chispa’ will call in at some time, usualy when we
get back with shopping, as we are shopping first thing in the morning then at
lunchtime I have my second Eye Test at the hospital across in Marbella, on the
way back we are going to call into ‘San Pedro De Alcantara’ to go to the Xmas
Card shop that we use.
This
evening for our supper we are having ‘Calves Liver’ dusted in seasoned flour
and seared ‘Pink. on the hot griddle with well cooked English Pork Sausage,
crispy Smoked Bacon and sautéed Baby Mushrooms, Onions, Tomato and Potatoes
with some Diamond cut Green Beans for colour! See below.
Last night
after our supper we channel hopped for a bit and later I found on one of the
more obscure channels “Downton Abbey” – four episodes back to back with no
commercial breaks – I press the translate button and off we go, the only
problem is we do not know where we are up to in the story/plot/series and are
not sure of finding it again! Once you are into watching the programme it’s
very compelling – last night in one of the episodes there was a fire in one of
the ‘Lady’s’ of the house bedrooms and another one of the ‘Lady’s’ had lost her
husband in a car crash?! Help?!
