A CRISP AND SUNNY MANILVA ON SATURDAY;

SATURDAY 8th/ NOVEMBER 2014.

The gas bottle delivery man woke us this morning but since we needed one it was OK! We had our usual breakfast and then showered and freshened ourselves up, dressed accordingly and went down to the Council Chambers next to the Police Station to attend the inauguration of the new Mayor Diego Urieta, see the pictures above of the ceremony and below of us ‘Dressed Up’!

This morning its crisp and sunny as the rain passed us over during the night, the weekend is fine but still a possibility of some of the wet stuff along the way; we have a quiet weekend in ‘Doggy World Heaven’ but in the ‘Bird Sanctuary Paradise’ it’s rather noisy as ‘Charlie’ is in fine voice, whistling, clicking, talking and barking!

Last night at 11-00pm I went up to the office to check out the WWW and noticed that Jack over in Melbourne was online on the Skype video, I called and made contact, it was 9-00am in the morning over in Australia- 10 hours ahead of us here in sunny Manilva! We had a good catch up and chat with Jack & Lyn who are both looking very well, its 34degs over there, it’s their summer. They are just going away for a week in their caravan, in December this year they have decided to go on a cruise over Xmes around New Zealand with a party of friends, for a change, they get back just before the New Year.

Now on the sports front its a ‘Helluva’ weekend; in ‘La Liga’ over here Real Madrid are at home to Rayo Vallecano and Barcelona travel to Almeria, over in the ‘Premiere League’ QPR welcome Manchester City and the match of the day is when Liverpool welcome Chelsea in the early kick off , tomorrow Everton travel to Sunderland.

The ‘Grand Prix’ this weekend is over in Brazil at Sau Paulo and the ‘Motor GP’ is here in Valencia.

Now for the really important sport happening – this afternoon over in the UK it’s a weekend of ‘International Rugby Union’ as England welcome New Zealand, the ‘All Blacks’ and Wales welcome the Australian ‘Wallabies’! I’m going to try and watch both games at the same time on the two PCs as they are kicking off at the same time!

This evening for supper we are having our usual ‘Entrecote Steak’ cooked on the hot griddle plate ‘Med-Rare’ with sautéed Baby Mushrooms, Finley sliced Green Beans and twice-cooked ‘Frits’ – with the usual toppings!
We will then catch up with all the football and sports highlights before the news and weather details, then its time to settle down to watch a film, if we can find one!

Thoughts for the Day; See above.
