THURSDAY 5th/
SEPTEMBER 2013.
This
morning we both went to go down on the early bus to Sabinillas, in fact we had
a lift down from one of the regular locals that takes us when he is passing! I
went to the bank to make a transfer and collect some cash, and then I went to
the office to arrange to change my Driving licenses to Spanish, it only opens
three times a week from 5-00pm/9-00pm so its back to Plan ‘B’! Brenda went off
for her morning ‘Constiutional’along the beach and I ended up having a Sausage buttie
and reading the Daily Mail in the square, Brenda found me later and we caught
the bus back up to the village but not before she found a pair of ‘ Black
Leggings’ in a local store!
When we got
back I made another bowl of ‘Ensaladilla Rusa’ and blanched the ‘French Fries’
to have with tonight’s “ Special Manilva Burger ” – Homemade, by our butcher,
with crisp Lettuce, sliced Beef Tomato,Gherkins,sauté Onions, crispy Smoked
Bacon and mine topped with a fried Campo Egg and Chorizo and Brenda’s with a
slice of Gouda Cheese! Crisp French-Fries( Cut by Brenda) on the side and Heinz
Tomato Ketchup!See the picture above !
Yesterday
lunchtime Anna finally called in after her weeks holiday over in Manchester North Wales ,so we had a good catch-up and
gossip.
This
afternoon the ‘Vuelta 2103’ stage 12 is from Maella down to the coastal resort
and the original Roman town of Tarragona Pyrenees ’ on Saturday!
The 'Vuelta' came down to the coast in Salou and then went past the 'PortaVentura' theme park into Tarragona,the winner of today's stage 12 was the Belgium 'World Road Race Champion' Philippe Gilbert in his 'Rainbow' jersey - no change in the overall standings with Nibali still in the RED jersey.
On this afternoon's weather forecast on TVE1 something called " RAIN" has appeared over sunny Manilva tomorrow and over the weekend!! Whats happening here then?? 'I don't believe it' !!!!!! This is not right !!!
