WEDNESDAY 3rd/JULY
2013.
We were up
bright and early this morning as we had appointments at the surgery with our
doctor for check ups; it’s now getting hotter during the night and today as we
walked around to the surgery it was already reaching nearly 30degs! The
forecast for the weekend is going up to the mid-30s and up in Seville it will be over 40degs!
We are both
fine and all our readings are looking good, my weight loss and blood pressure
are both down and Brenda’s Cholesterol level was very good. just a little blip
on the Liver readings so it’s drink more water and cut down on the Alcohol –
good news and bad news!
When we
came back I made tonight’s supper – ‘Chicken Curry ’with Brenda’s famous
‘Basmati Rice’ which we are having with Garden Peas and sliced Banana.
The
pictures above show the on-going work on the pavement along ‘Calle Cruses’ this
morning and it’s all hands to the pumps in the new ‘Plaza Vendimia’as they
start to lay the flagstones, the promised aim is to have it finished and ready
for the “ Vendimia Festival ”over the weekend of 31st Aug/1st
September! Waite and see!!
I have put
on a couple of pictures taken this morning in Sydney Harbor by our old bank
manager Wynne, she is ‘Doing’ Australia and following the ‘Lions ‘around at the same
time – she is having a “ Helluva” holiday!
This
afternoon I will watch the ‘Tour de France’ stage 5 which is from ‘
Cagnes-sur-Mer to Marseille over a long 229kms – Marseille’s is the oldest city
in France and was founded by Greek sailors back in 600BC!
More pictures to follow; this weekend on Saturday there is a classic car rally
starting in ‘Castillo De La Duquesa’- hopefully it will come through the
village later!
Last night
we watched the final of the ‘Spanish Master Chef’- the main guest judge was
‘Feran Adria’ considered for several
years the best chef in the world at the now closed “ El Buli ” 3 ‘Michelin’ starred restaurant in ‘Roses’
on the Costa Brave above Barcelona, along with the three regular judges they
choose in the end the correct winner - just, Juan Manuel !
Thought for
the Day; See above.
