SUNNY BUT STILL OVERCAST MANILVA AT THE START OF THE WEEK

MONDAY 15^th/ JULY 2013.

This morning we were up early as the ‘Beach Babe’ was going to catch the early bus down to the beach in Sabinillas but it is a little overcast and cloudy so she is saving herself for another day – instead she is cleaning the oven!! It will pick up later as he sun breaks through and the sea mist clears.

It did and we are up on the roof terrace reading and having our 'Early Doors' special G&T and B&C !!

After the excitement of yesterday’s stage of the tour when Chris Froome literally rode himself into the ground, he needed oxygen at the finish after he crossed the line, today is a well needed rest day before tomorrow’s stage takes them to the foot of the Alps in Gap.

So we are having an at home day and will go for a walk later; no sign of the dog who is away on her holidays, we are really missing her and we keep looking to the shutters every time they rattle to see if its her! Yesterday in the early evening Mano and Anna called to collect the newspapers and stopped for a chat and gossip as Mano is now off for two days.

As you can see we stopped at 'Plaza Vendimia' and took the picture above; it looks like the men in the Mural are working on the new plants! They are actually small but old Vine trees with 'Moscatel' Grapes growing on them!!

Tonight for supper we are having ‘Minute’ Steak and Chips before we settle down to watch the news, catch up with the very good weather forecast on TVE1 and then find a film to watch.
