SUNNY AND HOT MANILVA ON TUESDAY

TUESDAY 9^th/ JULY 2013

This morning after our tea and toast I went around to our butchers and ended up, as usual buying all sorts of ‘Goodies’ – Steak for this evenings supper, Pork Cutlets for tomorrows nights meal and his diced Beef ( ‘Estafado’ – Stew special) for later in the week! At the moment I ‘am about to make another bowl of ‘Ensaladilla Rusa’ after Brenda has helped with the ‘Miss-en-Place’ – Boiling Potatoes,Eggs,Carrots and Peas!

Still no sign of the handyman to fix our bed – ‘Hasta Manana Pronto ?! ’ It is still getting hotter every day but we still have a little ‘Levante’ breeze along the coast and the hills – the rest of central and inland Spain is now going over the 40degs mark – yesterday in Sevilla,Cordoba and Madrid is was 41/42degs!

Mano and Anna called in just after lunch to catch up with all the news,Mano is back in work this evening for the next five nights.

This afternoon Brenda will move up to the roof terrace after it cools down a bit and I’ am going to watch the ‘Tour de France’ –stage 10 which is in Brittany today,it goes from Saint-Gildas-des-Bois to Saint Malo over 197kms - they moved the whole ‘Circus’ up from the mountains of the Pyrenees, by plane, so today’s stage as you can see in the map above is flat – bring on Mark Cavendish!

Sadly Mark Cavendish was blocked by a slow rider just before the line so the result was; the two Germans,Kittel and Greipel,1st and 2nd -then Cav 3rd and Sagan 4th !! Watch out for some spectacular pictures of Saint Malo later after the camera has re-charged!

Tonight we are having Steak and Chips with all the trimmings then will settle down to watch the news and then catch a film later

Well the late film that we found was on 'Antana 3' and it was a great surprise - " DALLAS" from 2012!!
It is the latest follow up series made in the USA and with three original cast members,Patrick Duffy,Linda Grey and the late Larry Hagman who died just after they started making it!
