WEDNESDAY
10th/ JULY 2013.
Well its
definitely getting hotter in the mornings; I’ve justcome back from seeing
Brenda, as you can see above onto the bus down to Sabinillas as she has gone
down to the beach to bath in the Mediterranean, on her doctors orders, before
it gets too hot and also fills up with holidays makers.Brenda has just arrived back all hot and flustered after her dip,the sand was so hot it was burning her feet and the beach was packed!! Cava time !!
The work is
going very well on the new ‘Plaza Vendimia’ – this morning there are over 20
workmen going full-tilt ahead as you can see in the pictures above; the
fountain is being finished, the plants are being planted and this morning they
have started to erect the children’s play area as well as the new flagstones
going down very quickly!
This
afternoon I will be watching on our large screen TV on ‘TDP’ main sports
channel the ‘Tour de France’ stage 11 – an individual time-trial along the
coast from Avranches, a 33kms flat route to a magical arrival in front of ‘Mont
Saint Michel ‘See the route map above and an early picture of Alberto Contador
warming up!
As expected the German rider who is the 'World Time-Trial Champion Tony Martin won today's stage but more importantly Chris Froome was second 12secs behind - this means that he now leads the tour by 3min and 25 seconds over Spain's Alexandro Valverde !! Mark Cavendish did not have a good day,he was booed and whistled all around the course and one 'Fan' tossed a pot of 'Urine' over him - 'that's called taking the P--s! - this was after yesterday's incident near the sprint finish - he was found not guilty by the judge's !!
It will bring back some very happy memories from the start of our adventures in the ‘Winnebago’as we reached there in mid October and parked up in a small motor-park with nobody else there in the small village before you cross the causeway! We went on our scooter to ‘Mont Saint Michel’and toured the area at the same time; our most memorable meal was our Sunday lunch sat in a restaurant looking across to the island, we had the specialty of the area a leg of baby “ Salt Marsh Lamb’!! I can still taste it now!!!

This
evening we are having Baked Pork Chops with Cabbage with Alselgas and Lyonniase
Potatoes; we will then watch the news and weather on TVE1 before we find a film
to catch.
Though for
the Day; See above.
