MANILVA AT THE START OF A SUNNY WEEK

MONDAY 15th/ TUESDAY 16th/ APRIL 2013.

The forecast for the week is warm and sunny, this morning as I’ am typing this we have just been out and it is already 24/25degs. and getting hotter! We had a nice day at home on Monday and pottered about the house, Brenda has caught up with her washing, drying and ironing, Andy called in to help me with a couple of problems on the small PC in the morning and in the afternoon Brenda had a read and I had my first ‘Siesta’ of the year – back into the summer routine- a ‘Winston Churchill’ does you good!

In the evening we had the leftover vegetables and Boulangere Potatoes with the rest of the Lamb Cutlets before we channel hopped and watched for the umpteenth time “ Patriot Games ” from 1992 – it’s the same result in the end! The cast includes Harrison Ford as ‘Jack Ryan’ Anne Archer, Patrick Bergin,Sean Bean,Thora Birch, James Earl Jones and Richard Harris .

This morning I called into our butchers and got him to cut me two Pork Chops ‘English style’ instead of the thinner Pork ‘Chuleta’s’ as normal for a change; I’ve just made a ‘Charcutiere sauce’ with diced Onions, Sautéed Gherkins,Mustard,Vineager and some secret ingredients – you can smell it at the bottom of our street ! I then went around to the church as they are finishening erecting the T-bone crane today – a picture blog will appear above later!

Tonight for supper I will griddle the Pork Chops and finish them in the oven, Brenda has made her Cabbage with Alsegas this morning and also Diced Carrots, the last of the Boulangere Potatoes will just be right to go with them.

Thoughts for the Day;

I put all my genius into my life; I put only my talent into my work.  Common sense is instinct. Enough of it is genius.  Talent may be in time forgiven, but genius never.
