Just over an hour ago the emergency services battled for over an hour to save the dolphin washed up on the beach; despite the huge efforts of all those involved the dolphin sadly passed away before it could be taken to a specialist unit.The wildlife medic at the scene said that unfortunately this was all too common these days as there is a virus affecting a large number of the dolphin population that leads to disorientation and subsequent beaching's.
