MANILVA MID WEEK

WEDNESDAY 13th/  MARCH 2013.

First thing on Wednesday morning after our tea and toast it was shower time – the last one was on Saturday morning before the boiler broke down! The sun is back and the forecast foe the rest of the week is more of the same with clear blue skies and the temperature up to 18/19 degs. I called into our chemists in Calle Mar for my prescription tablets so at the same time he took my blood pressure and weight reading which I have to take once a week and then keep the readings ready for my next visit to the Kidney consultant, next week I have a appointment at the hospital over in Marbella with my Prostate consultant for my three month review next Wednesday morning -  fingers crossed.

In the afternoon I logged on to my new live TV channel to watch the racing on CH4 but had a little difficulty so in the end I ended up on the sports channel that I use for watching the football and found Horse Racing on ‘Racing UK’ with live full-screen coverage from Cheltenham and as a bonus it was showing the racing from Huntingdon at the same time! It was ladies day but it was the racing ‘Fillies’ that are the main attraction; the big race of the day the “ Queen Mother Champion Chase ” was won by the new wonder horse ‘ Sprinter Sacre ’- he won in scintillating fashion as he won by 19 lengths, his 8th unbeaten win ! See the pictures above.

In the evening for supper we had a very simple meal; Griddled flattened Chicken Breast that I got from our butcher in the morning along with dry Sauté Potatoes and sliced Green Beans – delicious ! I then watched the Malaga v Porto game on the large PC as Malaga reached the last eight in the Champions League for the first time with a 2-0 ( 2-1 agg ) win !

Thoughts for the Day;

The sweaty players in the game of life always have more fun than the supercilious spectators.

Life is too short to waste. Dreams are fulfilled only through action, not through endless planning to take action.
