MANILVA THIS WEEK.

TUESDAY 19^th/ WEDNESDAY 20^th/ MARCH 2013.

Tuesday was definitely an at home day as the heavens opened as forecast; the difference between Monday and Tuesday is unbelievable but the temperature is still just below 20degs! In the morning I found the e-mail address to send your weather pictures into TVE1 for the two main weather forecasts at 4-15pm and 10-15pm on which they show at the start a selection of pictures taken on the day – no luck with Monday’s but I will keep trying as it show’s your name and the place!

Later I made more Tomato salsa to use and put away; we then freshened ourselves up ready for my hospital visit on Wednesday morning, as I’ am shaving and showering I always play ‘Blues Music’ from the ‘Musicovery Interactive Web-Radio’ on my PC – very loud through the speaker system! This is the station on which you can select the mood, the year and the genres along with many other attachments; I started on Tuesday with ‘Energetic, Blues from the 50s’ and the first tune up was a “ Helluva” track by ‘Sunny Landreth’ called ‘Natural World’- it is a rocking Blues number that you can’t stop dancing too!

In between the rain showers I went and got some Pork Cutlets for supper which we had with Lyonnaise Potatoes and Cabbage with Alselgas. The late film was the classic Tuesday TVE1 – “ The Wind and the Lion ”from way back in 1975 with Sean Connery, Candice Bergen, Brian Keith and John Huston being himself! It is an adventure story based on fact that took place in Morocco in 1904 when the ‘Perdicaris Incident’ about a family being kidnapped by a Berber brigand – you guess who plays what part!!

This morning, Wednesday we have been across to the hospital on the far side of Marbella for my three month check up with my Prostate consultant; I ‘am fine but there is a problem with my Prostate blood readings and as my Urine test reading had not arrived to go with the blood results, which turns out is important, I have to go through the whole process again and go back in a month! On checking my files when we returned we think that my Urine results ended up with the Dermatology consultant last week as they were taken together at the surgery! Better safe than sorry !!

We went for a walk with dog at lunchtime ( 22 degs with clear Blue skies ) after returning and I took the pictures of ‘Plaza Pozo del Rey’ as they are starting to add the finishing touches to the car park and roof terrace, the other pictures are taken from the council blog and show the work on Bank Street is starting to take shape down in Sabinillas. Tonight we are having ‘Steak and Kidney Pie’with square chips – the pie is from a couple of weeks ago and was in the deep freeze. This week it is the ‘FIFA World Cup Qualifying’ games so I will catch Spain and England as it happens.
