HOT AND SUNNY MANILVA AT THE START OF THE WEEK;
MONDAY 12th/
MAY 2014.
Well here
we go again in another glorious week in sunny Manilva, the forecast is warm and
sunny and getting hotter – will we survive – yes! Today we are sorting
ourselves out after, by our standards now, a busy weekend!
Brenda is catching
up on her pottering about and I’ am up in the office sorting myself out on the
WWW, reading some E-Mails and Facebook, reading the newspapers and watching
some news, we have no plans for the week, so far so it will give us a chance to
catch up with our reading.
Tonight for
supper we are having cold Roast Lamb with a fry-up of the left-over vegetables
and the rest of the ‘Boulangere’ potatoes, tomorrow night we are going to have
the Calves Liver that I bought the other day with Smoked Bacon and English Pork
sausages; the rest of the week’s menus we will sort out later! At our official
Monday morning ‘Weigh In’ we had both lost 1 kilo last week! – We are getting
there slowly, where I don’t know but we will reach it eventually!!
Last night
we caught the late film “ Highwaymen” from 2004,a story of one mans rampage to
avenge the killing of his wife by a serial killer using his ‘El Dorado 72’ to
run down and kill women – Jim Caviezel,Rhona Mitra,Frankis Faison and Colm
Caviezel as the killer with some ‘Machinery’ problems – watch it to find out
what!
After
supper tonight we watch the news, sport and weather up-dates before channel
hopping to finding something to watch.

SUNNY AND A VERY HOT MANILVA AT THE START OF ANOTHER WEEK
MONDAY 16th/ SEPTEMBER 2013.
This
morning we are back to a very sunny and hot Manilva; the ‘Lavente’ breeze has
dropped and so after breakfast we went along to the chemists for Brenda
prescription and to check out our weights and my blood pressure, with printouts
for the files, all OK! We stopped at our local bank in Calle Mar for some cash
and then went down to the butchers for some Pork Chops for tomorrow night and
Chicken wings for Tapas.
I called
Tim over in Old Colwyn as there was message on Skype asking me to call, but it
is not his number and we can’t find who it is? Anyway we had a good chat and
caught up with all his news, it sounds like they could be looking for a
holiday/gateway home down here in Southern Spain so they could become fairly close
neighbors in the not too distant future!
We then set
off to go to the our local garage which is at the top of the village just
before the ‘Manilva Green Aparthotel’ Pedro has the car on all sorts of test’s
as it is an electrical fault and he is working on it, at the same time he is
giving it the once over to be ready or the ‘ITV – MOT’at the beginning of
November!
While we
were out we met Anna as she was out for her morning walk and coffee with
Derrick, she then came back up to the house for a cool drink and chat.
So we are
back into our regular routine this afternoon and have already started on some
new ‘Patterson’s’ Tonight for supper we are having the rest of the Fish Pie
which I have freshened up with some left over Mashed Potato; it will then be time
to watch the news and weather forecast then find a film to watch, last night
later on we watched “Seeking Justice ” from 2011 with Nicolas Cage,January
Jones and Guy Pearce,it’s a action/thriller based in New Orleans – the original
title was ‘The Hungry Rabbit Jumps’ – watch the film to fine out why?!
