WEDNESDAY 15th/ JULY 2020. “ NEW
NORMALITY – DAY 24 “
Just a little lie in this morning after
another ‘ sticky’ night, as we were freshening up we were listening to the ‘
Lockdown Party’ this morning on “ Mix106fm” as ‘ Castle Radio FM 89.2’ had technical
problems with it’s ‘IT’ connection, I got this morning’s ‘ Mystery Voice’
straight away, it was Hugh Laurie, the actor, yesterday, which I didn’t get
correct, was Deborah Meaden, the entrepreneur, see below.
After a quick fresh fruit ( sliced Banana)
toast & tea we then, now the law, here in Andalucia - we ‘ Masked ’ up and shot down to the ‘ Suma’
supermarket, keeping to the shady side of the street, for some larder goods and
to top up the wine rack and spirit cupboard!
Tomorrow morning I’m going down, early, to
Sabinillas, to go for our main shop in ‘ Mercadona’ with all our old regular
goods, for only the 2nd time in over four months! Watch this space.
The sky was bright blue and cloudless, as
there is a light breeze blowing up off the Mediterranean ( Levante) – so it was
nice and fresh in the shade, the sun was out early and it’s still very hot, by
lunchtime reaching 27/28 degs+ - overnight only down to 22/23degs+ - the rest
of the week and over the weekend it’s staying the same, hovering in the high
20s, with lots of sunshine, next week is as forecast going to be a ‘ Hot-One’ –
back up in the low 30s all week, as the breeze drops, at times raising to mid
30s, with lots of very hot sunshine, watch this space.
Over in Malaga, along the main street ‘
Calle Larios’ they have put up a new sun awning, as the temperatures rise in
July/August.
Sadly our ‘ Council’ have not done the same
here in sunny Manilva, along ‘ Calle Mar’ – after taking the coloured canopy down, last
year, which will be greatly missed!

For our supper this evening we are having ‘
Empanados of Chicken ‘ – Chicken Breasts coated in a savoury Garlic Breadcrumbs,
shallow-fried in Vegetable Oil, garnished with seared Button Mushrooms, mine
topped with a ‘ Campo’ Fried Egg, served with finely sliced ‘ French’ Green
Beans and triple-cooked ‘ Chips’
