CASA OLIMPIA.

Thursday 30th July 2009.

Today is the hottest day of the year so far, 38degs.and rising! The workmen have been finishing off in the garden clearing the grass and tree trimmings; it has taken six loads so far and about another four to go! They have started on the top roof terrace and have already laid the felt and skimmed over with concrete by lunch time; they have to spray it down all the time due to the extreme heat. All the Fir trees have been planted and tomorrow they are being fixed to strong cane poles and at the same time the new tile floor will go down on the terrace. The pool is nearly full and they are then going to test and run all the equipment after they have fixed a broken pump part, so fingers crossed we will be in the pool this weekend! This morning we went down to Tarifa for the weekend shopping, called in the jewellers to get Joan’s watch fixed and put the VW through the car wash.Fresh Prawns and Sardines are on the menu over the weekend and no Sunday roast!By Friday they are moving into the master bedroom to clear up some unfinished stone work,re-plaster and the paint.

PS; We have just been on the sun loungers by the side of the pool as the sun went down,a little light breeze came up and we went for a paddle;the water is already warm-gorgeous !

CAMPING PARQUE TROPICAL

Wednesday 5th December.
Yet another sunny day and the forcast for the next week is the same and warmer.so we are out and about all the time. After a light breakfast we caught up with some shopping then went into the flower square for lunch at our favourite restaurant then when we got back we saw Vidal who is going to do some more work on the Winnebago next week. We had a late supper, individual Spanish omelette's with the filling cooked separate and then added before folding them! A dvd.finished the day.
Thursday 6th December.
We woke up to find out that it was a bank holiday,no traffic on the roads and different programmes on the TV.so the shops are closed and it's a long weekend as it is also a holiday on Saturday as well.
We went up to Manilva to see Mano and Anna and also so that we could use there phone to call the UK. And sort out the PC problem. We then came back to the site and I cooked a pan of stew with all the vegetables that Brenda could find!( 10 different sorts )
Friday 7th December.
After servicing the Winnebago we went and topped up the shopping and Brenda called into the card shop for the xmas cards ,so she has started to write them-her favourite job.We are still not back on line yet but hope to be by the weekend.
Saturday 8th December.
We have just returned from the butchers and after another call to the UK we are now on line! On the site we are starting to see some people returning from earlier in the year, whilst others are planning to go home to England for xmas.We are having a quiet weekend here as we are going to go out and about next week including calling to see if we can use our time share just after xmas for a change of scenery .Tonight it's steak and frit night!!
