We managed another little lie in this
morning, after freshening up, we had our usual toast ( diet Strawberry Jam)
& tea, to set us up for the day ahead, we caught the ‘Lockdown Part’ show
on “Castle Radio FM 89.2 & Online on the WWW” – I guessed the answer to the
‘ Mystery Voice ‘ quiz this morning, and got it correct, it was horror film
actor ‘ Christopher Lee ‘ – so this week I’m 5/5!
After breakfast Brenda had to pop back to
the Chemists in ‘ Calle Mar’- ‘ masked/gloved’ up - for some of her prescription
tablets which were not in stock yesterday! She also dropped into the local shop
at the bottom of our street for the fresh vegetables & fruit, we are
leaving the fresh flowers/wall plants until Monday mornings local Market on the
Plaza Pozo del Rey’ in the centre of the village.
At lunchtime our friend Andy is calling
back in as the ‘ IPTV’ system has gone off again?! We will re-check all the settings,
turn everything off and then re-set all the contacts, before re-entering all
the details, codes, passwords & user details, again, watch this space!
PS; All back online, for now, 'Fingers Crossed ' Watch this space.
After a very hot night and sticky night (
21 degs+) – the sun was out first thing this morning and the sky is cloudless
and bright blue, with just a slight breeze, so by lunchtime it’s due to reach
30 degs+ - overnight down to 19 degs+ - tomorrow going even hotter, in the low
30s, Sunday is looking a little cooler as the breeze picks up, next week, at
the start of July, is going to be a very ‘ Hot-One’ – with very hot sunshine
all week, with light breezes, hovering in the low/mid 30s, at times up to 34
degs+! The following week is also looking very hot & sunny. Watch this space.
See below ‘ SPAIN VERSUS BRITAIN –

Yesterday evening we were going to watch
the Chelsea v Manchester City match- live- but sadly the ‘IPTV’ system went
offline – Chelsea won 2-1 so Liverpool won the ‘ Premiere League’ and were
declared the “ Champions “ for the first time in 30 years!

For our supper this evening we are having ‘Posh
Fish N’ Chips’ – ‘Fillets of Hake’ coated in a “ Cruzcampo Tempura Beer Batter “
– shallow fried in Vegetable Oil, accompanied with an Homemade ( Brenda) ‘Tartar’
sauce, with lots of Lemon wedges, served with Garden Peas ( still no Mushy
Peas) and of course triple-cooked ‘ Chips’
Tomorrow evening it’s our ‘ Steak Night’ –
then on Sunday, for the first time this year I’m making my recipe/version of a “
Seafood Risotto “ – with Prawns, Gambas, Mussels ( large & small) –
assorted Fish etc – made with ‘Spanish Arborio Rice’ from Valencia!
