TUESDAY 17th/ MARCH 2020. “ ST PATRICKS DAY “
“ STATE OF ALARM DAY 3 “
We could get used to these early morning
lie-in’s – but we are still missing all our regular ‘ Guests ‘ in ‘Doggy World
Heaven ‘ – it would mean that we ( 1 only) could go out for walks with them and
get some fresh air!
After freshening up Brenda shot along to
our local Chemists in ‘Calle Mar’ for our prescription tablets ( 1 metre spaces
) -they are expecting a delivery of ‘ Hand Sanitizer’ later today, but there
are still no ‘ Face Masks’! Watch this space.
PS; The Mayor, Mario, our neighbour, has just dropped off two ' Basic Face Masks' for us (on ration! )

When she returned we had our usual fresh
fruit ( Banana) toast & tea, before settling into our daily routine.
Overnight the rain hit us and only stopped
this morning, so Brenda shot out as you can see above, on all the forecasts it’s
now looking that we are in for a least two weeks of the ‘Wet-Stuff’- with light
to moderate rain every day, the breeze is picking up to ‘ Gale-Force ‘ winds
from tomorrow and on Thursday, when the region is on ‘ Yellow Alert ‘ – the temperatures
are hovering in the mid ‘ teens’ – all the time – down to 11/12 degs+ overnight – the breeze stiff at all times, as
we reach the start of the ‘ Vernal Equinox – Spring’ on Friday! Watch this
space.
Our dear friend Leah dropped off a few essentials
( Bread Tea Bags & Sugar ) yesterday
evening, on her way home from work in Gibraltar, which she picked up from ‘
Morrisons’ – we asking our dear friend Brian, to go down to ‘Mercadona’ later
in the week for some stock, as he’s still off work this week. We are using the
local shops (3) and supermarkets(1) in
the village as and when needed.
PS; We have just found some ' Gloves' in our back store with all the cleaning goods!

Yesterday morning, early, the ‘ Council’
workmen washed down and disinfected ‘Calle Mar’ and all the main streets in the
village, as you can see below, and now this morning down our street, outside
the shop, as well!
The local Bus service is still running down
to Sabinillas for those with no cars(
shopping etc ) and is now ‘ Free’ for all!
At lunchtime yesterday I managed to get
through to the ‘ Costa Del Sol Hospital ‘ to change the contact/phone details
on Brenda’s records, I did mine last week, we are waiting to hear about Brenda’s
appointments in April, for her ‘Heart & ECG tests + Consultant ‘ – as it
looks like they are cancelling appointments at the moment, we are also
concerned about travelling across ( 1 person only?) and of course the ‘ Health’
arrangements/advice at the Hospital. Watch this space.
This evening for our supper we are having ‘
Pan-Seared Lambs Liver’ – dusted in seasoned flour and ‘ flash-cooked’ on a
very hot griddle-plate with ‘ Crispy Smoked Bacon’ accompanied with a sauceboat
of a rich ‘Red Wine, Onion & Shallot Gravy’ – which I made earlier this
morning after breakfast. We are having glazed Carrot Batons & sliced Baby ‘
French’ Green Beans with a dish of the ‘Boulangere’ Potatoes.
This evening after supper we will be
watching the last episode of “The Split’ – on Sunday it was the final episode of
“ Last Tango in Paris “ – with various new series starting on all the channels
at the same time!
Thoughts for the Day; See above.
