We had a nice lie in this morning, the
village is very quiet, no deliveries down our street, no neighbours out
gossiping, no children out playing and the church bells don’t start until
later, calling the ‘faithful’ to mass!
‘Chico’ slept all night on the marble floor
under our bed and on a rug by the side of the bed, he’s settled in very well,
as usual, he’s eating everything, he’s found his ‘spots’ when he’s out for his
walks and he’s great company, ‘ Chispa’ has called in to see him, he gets on
with all the dogs that we have in ‘Doggy World Heaven’
PS; He's put on a little weight since this picture was taken, just like all of us!
This morning started a little grey &
overcast, but it’s now clearing as the sun attempts to break through, there is
very slight breeze so a few patchy clouds are hanging around, by lunchtime it’s
due to reach 26 degs+ - staying warm
& sunny, tomorrow will be the same, next week is now looking settled, dry
& sunny, with a few patchy clouds at times, with no sign of the ‘Wet-Stuff’
- the breeze is going to be light so by
Tuesday it will be back up to 28/29 degs+ - overnight hovering on the 18/19
degs mark, just right for the time of the year.
By next Sunday, the 29th
September staying the same, just in time for the arrival of the Canadian family
((8) for their week’s holiday down here on the ‘ Costa Del Sol’ – staying in a
large villa on the ‘ Manilva Beach Complex’ next to the ‘Bella Vista Camping
Site *****’ – with just a small step out to the beach and the Mediterranean!
“ Countdown 9 Days “
PS, No snow here !
On the sports front this weekend; In the ‘
Premier League’ Everton are at home to Sheffield Utd & Manchester City
welcome Watford, tomorrow Liverpool go down the M1 to play Chelsea, here in ‘
La Liga’ Barcelona travel up to Grenada & Real Madrid are here in Sevilla.
It’s the ‘Singapore Grand Prix’ tomorrow evening, the ‘Horse Racing’ this
afternoon comes from Ayr, meanwhile the ‘ World Cup Rugby Union’ kicked off
yesterday over in Japan, England’s first game in on Sunday when they play Tonga.
See below some pictures of the Liverpool
docks at night time, during the past few days, including the ‘Royal Albert
& Princess Docks’
This evening for our supper we are having a
large ‘Grilled Chuelton de Buey – Rib of Beef on the Bone’ – cooked on a very
hot griddle-plate ‘ Med-Rare’ – then left to rest, before taking it off the
bone and slicing it into fingers ‘ French’ style – served with seared Asparagus
Spears & Button Mushrooms, accompanied with a sauceboat of the classic ‘
Bearnaise’ sauce, not forgetting the ‘ Dijon French Mustard’ – with whole Baby ‘French’
Green Beans & triple-cooked ‘French’ Fries!
A little bit of a hint of my classical ‘ French’ training back in the
early 60s with John & Paul Bruchet!!
Tomorrow at lunchtime we are going out on a
‘Recce’ to check out 4/5 restaurants, down in Sabinillas, first to see if they
open next Sunday ( 29th) then what they are serving etc, as we are
looking for somewhere to have lunch when the ‘ Canadian Clan ‘ arrive!( 10
persons including us!) – as they can’t get the keys to the villa until 4-00 pm.
We are then going to try and find somewhere
to have a ‘ Roast Sunday Lunch’ - sat
outside as we will have ‘ Chico’ with us, to celebrate my birthday early, as we
can’t get out next Tuesday ( 24th) as we are busy in Doggy World
Heaven’ ( Chico & little ‘ Miss Bella ) Watch this space.
This evening after supper we will ‘channel’ hop ( limited) to find something to
watch, as there is still no sign of the ‘IPTV’ system coming back online at the
moment.
Thoughts for the Day; See above.
