We had a surprise lie in this morning as I
had no appointment at the ‘Estepona Hospital’ as it’s a ‘Training Day ‘ in the ‘Physiotherapy
Department’ ‘Lolo’ slept all night and has to be awoken in the morning! After a
quick freshen up Brenda shot out with ‘Lolo’ for his first walk of the day, she
called into the local sub-post office, as she passed, to post a birthday card.
I was on the breakfast rota to I prepared
my favourite ‘Crispy Smoked Bacon Butty’ – on buttered white bread ( not
toasted ) - open on brown for Brenda( toasted) - mine smothered with ‘HP’ Brown
sauce, with mugs of strong/hot tea, for when they returned.
This afternoon ‘ Scoobie’ is being dropped
off for a short three night sleep-over, at the moment we are receiving lots of requests
for space in ‘ Doggy World Heaven’ – but we are already booked for the dates!
Watch this space.
Its’ another glorious day down here on the ‘
Costa Del Sol ‘ – the sun was out early and the sky is blue and cloudless, as
there is a pleasing light breeze, by lunchtime it will reach 25 degs+ - over
night we had the hottest night of the year, so far, we needed to put the bedroom
fan on, the rest of the week and over the weekend is staying the same, hovering
in the high 20s, with a few patchy clouds at times, next week is now looking
the same, with the breeze stiffing at times, watch this space.
See below an aerial view of the coast, with
Sabinillas & Puerto de la Duquesa, the Duquesa Golf course and up to sunny
Manilva!
For our supper this evening we are having ‘
Grilled Spanish Lamb Cutlets – Chuletas de Cordero ‘ - marinated in Rosemary & Olive Oil – ‘Flash’
cooked on a very hot griddle-plate ‘ Pink’ – no blood! - garnished with seared Button
Mushrooms, accompanied with ‘Mint Sauce’ Served with glazed Carrot Batons and ‘Pommes
de Terre Rissolees ‘ – boiled Baby New Potatoes, in their skins, then tossed in
foaming Parsley Butter until golden all over.
This afternoon/evening we taking things
easy, relaxing and watching the TV, later taking the dogs out for their walks.
Thoughts for the Day; See above.
