I was up early this morning and after a
quick freshen up I shot off across to the ‘ Estepona Hospital’ - along the coast road past a sparkling Mediterranean, with the bright sun
in my eyes, for my next appointment at the ‘Physiotherapy Department’ – as usual,
after parking, I had a quick tostado & tea in ‘Tikitapi’ before going
across the Hospital, I brought our friend Sonia back to Sabinillas, and dropped
her off, as her treatment on her shoulder had finished.
Back at the house Brenda after freshening
up took ‘Lolo’ out for his first walk of the day, he’s due to be collected
later today, we will miss him as he is always under our feet and likes to be
part of our routine.
We have a glorious day down here on the ‘
Costa Del Sol’ – the sun was out early and the sky is bright blue & clear,
there is slight breeze, making it very pleasant to be out & about, by
lunchtime it’s due to reach 28 degs+ tomorrow even hotter, the rest of the week
and over the weekend it’s staying in the mid/high 20s, next week is going to be
very warm & sunny, up to 30 degs+ by next Tuesday, it’s going to be a very
hot & sunny week, watch this space.
Over in Liverpool yesterday another liner
berthed at the Pier Head, for the day, as you can see below, taken from a ‘Ferry
Across the Mersey’ – the “ Celebrity Reflection “ - on a rather grey & overcast day.
After typing/posting today’s Blog I’m
making another large dish of my now famous ‘ Russian Salad’- which Brenda has prepared
all the ingredients for, this morning, we are having it for supper this evening
with a little Mixed Salad and cold Smoked Ham, on Wednesday it’s ‘ Grilled
Gammon Steaks’ with all the trimmings, on Thursday a choice of ‘Omelettes’ –
Friday is still ‘ Fish Night’ – then on Saturday we are going out for Brenda’s
Birthday supper, down to our favourite “ Restaurante Macues” - overlooking the ‘Puerto de la Duquesa Marina’
- for more ‘ Fish’! No ‘ Staff’ night
off this week , as we are out on Saturday and ‘ Bar Castillo’ is closed for two week’s holiday, from tomorrow.
At lunchtime after our walk with 'Lolo' we called into 'Bar Castillo' for a nice cool drink, sat in the shade, with a couple of light 'Tapas' including 'Tomates' from Juan's Campo!
Over the coming weekend, on Sunday, as well
as the annual ‘San Juan Festival’ at midnight, which they are just starting to
build the ‘Tableau’ - on the beach down in Sabinillas, ready to be set on fire,
at the stroke of midnight, see below;
It’s also on Sunday morning, here in the
village, the religious festival of ‘Corpus Christi’ as the procession passes
along ‘ Calle Mar’
Thoughts for the Day; See above.
