SUNNY MANILVA TODAY

SATURDAY 13th/ APRIL 2013

This morning after a little lie in we got up to another glorious day here in sunny Manilva; we freshened ourselves up and then went for a long walk with dog around the village, the pictures above show the church as it is got ready for the work which is going to take quite a while, probably the scaffolding will go up next. Down at the football stadium it was the local 7-a-side matches which go on all day before the main game in the afternoon at 4-00pm.

This morning I caught the qualifying for the Chinese Grand Prix – Hamilton took the maiden pole position for the Mercedes team, but some strange going’s on for Webber with his Red Bull as he ran out of petrol and was disqualified and starts at the back of the grid! Meanwhile over in the USA at the Master’s Golf the breaking news is that Tiger Woods could be also be disqualified from the Master’s as he is being investigated for an illegal drop on the 15th yesterday !! Watch this space. He has just got away with a two shot penalty but will remain in the Master’s for the third round today!?

This afternoon I am going to watch some football from the Premier League before its time for the first semi-final of the FA Cup from Wembley – Millwall v Wigan. Brenda is back into her routine of going up to read on the roof terrace in the afternoon and is starting to ‘Brown’ up already! Mano and Anna have just called and we have had a good 'Catch' up on all the news,Mano has the weekend off so they are going to join us for dinner on Sunday evening - ' Lamb Cutlets Boulangere' with all the usual vegetables.

This evening we are having for our dinner later the Rib-Eye steak for Brenda and a nice slice of Rump for me; cooked ‘Rare’ on the griddle and served with Sautéed Mushrooms and Onions, finally sliced Green Beans and of course crisp Chips – with a fried Campo Egg on the top of mine!  We will then catch a good film later as there is plenty of choice on a Saturday night.

PS; Everton won 0-2, Liverpool could only manage a -0-0 draw again! Wigan are through to their first ever FA Cup Final after beating Millwall 0-2 and totally outplaying them!!

Thought for the Day;

Our attitude towards life determines life’s attitude towards us.
