WEDNESDAY 3rd/
APRIL 2013.
The rains
came over night and in the morning, and then it cleared up as the forecast
below shows;
Brenda had
to go to the dentists first thing in the morning as she needs some work doing
ASAP – he looked after her straight away and she is going back on Thursday
morning to start the work which is rather nasty and will take a few days – so
she is on ‘Soft’ foods for the time being. She then had an appointment at the
surgery at noon to renew her prescriptions and so she took the
chance to get her legs checked over – so our doctor is sending her for an X-ray which I
have just arranged for early next Monday morning at the hospital over in
Estepona;
The council
have just announced that they are re-starting the work on the new sports centre
down in Sabinillas as the regional government have release some more money, at
long last so the work in the first phase is on the outside facilities as you
can see in the picture above; Watch this space.
In the
evening for supper we had Minute Steak a la Plancha with Sauté Onions, Sautéed
Baked Potatoes, sliced thick and dry-cooked, cut Green Beans and a fried Campo
Egg on top of my steak! It was time to catch the football; I watched on the
large PC the coverage on the sports channel of the Malaga v Bor.Dortmund game –
no excitement and a 0-0 draw and so I listened to the Real Madrid v Galatasaray
game as it was only on Pay-TV – Real played very well and brushed aside
Galatasary, the score was 3-0 – game over! Tonight the three English teams left
in the ‘UEFA Europa League are playing, come on Spurs, Newcastle and Chelsea !
Meanwhile
over in Chester it was the Awards Dinner and presentations of the ‘The Great Chester,
Food, Drink and Lifestyle’ festival; the New Moon Pub Company picked up four
awards on the evening including David’s ‘ Outstanding Contribution to the
Industry’ as you can see in the picture above !
PS; It’s
the first day of the “ Grand National ” three day meeting at Aintree,starting on Thursday so I am just
about to look and find coverage on the PCs – it of course always reminds me of
my early upbringing over 60 years ago as we lived less than a mile from the
track and I played on the course all the time!! -'Bingo' I'am watching the coverage on 'Racing UK'
Thoughts
for the Day;
The sooner
you treat your son as a man, the sooner he will be one. The most important thing that parents can
teach their children is how to get along without them.
