MANILVA WINE PRESENTATION;
This morning down in the new park in Sabinillas at the ‘ Villa Matilde ’ the Manilva Town Council and the ‘ Funmades Development Foundation ’ held a reception to which we had been invited to introduce the new “ Moscatel Manilva Wine ” It is the first wine that has been made from 100% Moscatel Grapes which are grown in the vine-fields which are the southern most in the European continent; situated 459 feet above sea level and 1.24 miles from the Mediterranean; the vines are ‘ Bush ’which means that the grapes grow at ground level. The wine has a distinctive fruity nose and is med/dry and crisp – 12.5% vol. The reception was very well attended on the hottest day of the year, so far and certainly in the last few years as it reached 43/45 degs. !
