A WARM & SUNNY MARBELLA, ESTEPONA & MANILVA ON WEDNESDAY.
I’ve had the ‘ALL CLEAR ‘ from the ‘Prostrate
Consultant’- everything was clear, no problems, all the reading are fine, my 3rd biopsy passed with flying colours, no
other signs detected, he has given me a six month review, we were in and out in
2 minutes, on time, a fine result and great relief all round, we were a little
concerned to say the least, ‘ Positive ‘ thinking works, along with crossed
fingers and a little silent prayer!
We set off across to the ‘Costa Del Sol
Hospital ‘ after a quick cup of tea & toast, the coast road was very busy,
the ‘Mediterranean’ was sparking as we shot along past Estepona & Marbella,
the hospital at that time of the day ( 11-00am) is very busy, the underground
car park was nearly full, after we came out we set off back to Estepona.
We parked in the promenade underground car
park, Manuel, my Barber, took me straight in and Brenda shot off along to her
favourite cosmetics shop to stock up, meanwhile I has the full works, a dry
shave & trim, shampoo, condition and blow dry, cut & style followed by
a scalp & neck massage, I then found Brenda and we checked out all the shoe
shops, I finally found a new pair of ‘ Jesus’ sandals, that I have been looking
for quite a while.
We then called into our favourite hotel the “ H10 Estepona Palace “ – we found our way down to
the ‘Pool-Side Bar’ and sat in the warm sunshine for a nice al-fresco lunch,
two chilled glasses of their excellent ‘ House Cava’ helped us celebrate, two
more ‘ free’ ones went down very well, Brenda has a ‘ Chicken Caesar Salad Wrap’
and I had the ‘ Escalope of Veal Viennoise’ with ‘ Frits’
The sun was out early this morning, the sky
cleared up and there was a little breeze, making it rather pleasant, by
lunchtime it reached 25/26 degs, sadly for the next two/three days we are in for
some of the wet stuff, then on Sunday it’s starting to pick up again and next
week is now looking warm & sunny, watch this space.
This evening ‘ Scruffy ‘ is coming for a
sleep over as Adrian is at the hospital first thing in the morning for a
routine check up, Rose will collect him at lunchtime, ‘Reina’ is back with also
tomorrow morning for the day, as usual ‘ Chispa’ will no doubt call at some
time to see all her friends, watch this space.
We are taking things easy for the rest of
the day after all the excitement of this morning, catching up with the reading
and later finding something to watch on the TV!

A WARM & SUNNY MANILVA ON TUESDAY.
I was up early this morning to see ‘ Reina’
back with us for the day, as usual she shot into her duvet, we then had a nice little
lie in before getting the day on the go, after freshening up we had ‘ Crispy
Smoked Bacon Butties’ – open for Brenda, with mugs of hot, strong tea.
This evening we have our appointments down
at the surgery with the ‘ Chiropodist’ – then tomorrow morning we are going
across to the ‘ Costa Del Sol Hospital’ past Marbella for my appointment with
my ‘ Prostrate Consultant ‘ for the results of operation “ P Day”! Fingers
crossed, watch this space.
On the way back we are calling into
Estepona as Brenda needs some cosmetics, I will go to my Barber, Manuel, for
the full works, no doubt we will also do a little window shopping.
This morning started a little grey &
overcast but it’s now clearing, the sun has broken through and the clouds are
breaking up as there is a little breeze, it’s a little warmer and by this afternoon its due to reach 23/24
degs, more of the same tomorrow but sadly on Thursday we are due for some of
the wet stuff, the forecast is for more on Friday and now Saturday, then on
Sunday its dry & sunny, getting warmer, next week is now looking warm and
sunny, watch this space.
The ‘ Moffatt’s have been spotted, over the
weekend, out walking in the hills behind ‘ Mojacar Pueblo’ – see below.
For our supper this evening, when we return,
we are having ‘ Campo ‘ Fried Eggs & twice-cooked ‘ Chips ‘ – the menus for
the rest of the week are at the moment TBC!
We will have one of our ‘ Quiz ‘ days
later; ‘ Countdown, 15 to 1, Pointless, Eggheads etc before after supper
finding something to watch, last night we caught over on BBC 2 about amazing
hotels, this week it was the ‘ Fogo Island Inn ‘ which is sited on a rocky
outpost off the northeast coast of the island of Newfoundland in Canada, it’s
presented by Giles Coren & Monica Galetti.

A LITTLE WARMER & SUNNY MANILVA ON MONDAY AT THE START OF THE WEEK.
MONDAY 24th/ APRIL 2017.
I was up first this morning to welcome back
little princess ‘ Reina’ for the day, as usual she shot into her duvet, she’s
with us for only three days this week, we are at the hospital on Wednesday
morning for my ‘ Prostrate’ results ( finger crossed!) and on Friday it’s a
works holiday for Lee & Daniela, ‘Chispa’ has been in & out over the
weekend, no doubt she will be calling in, ‘Scruffy’ is coming for a sleep over
on Wednesday evening.
This afternoon we are down at the family
solicitors to re-negotiate the contract on the house, the ‘ Spanish’ system is every
11 months, watch this space.
After our normal breakfast I shot along to
the Chemists in ‘Calle Mar’ for my prescriptions tablets, I then went down to
our Butchers for this evening’s supper.
This morning has started a little grey
& overcast, it was mild over night, the sun is breaking through and it’s
due to reach 18/19degs, the rest of the week, up to Friday, is getting warmer,
sunny & cloudy, then it’s forecasting some of the wet stuff before picking
up again on Sunday, watch this space.
.
For our supper this evening we are having ‘
Escalopes of Chicken Breast’ – pan-seared in foaming Lime Butter with a fry-up
of the leftover vegetables & potatoes, tomorrow evening it’s going to be
something simple as we are out at the surgery for our appointment with the ‘
Chiropodist’
A quick update on the football results;
Manchester City lost 2-1, Liverpool lost 1-2 & played terribly, meanwhile
over here Barcelona beat Real Madrid 2-3 when Messi scored in the final seconds,
his 500th goal for ‘ Barca ‘!
Over in Melbourne it’s Jack’s 89th
birthday, he spent the day with his family including his great grandchildren,
see the picture of him below, looking 89 years, young! “ Happy Birthday ‘ Pappy
Jack ‘ – Feliz CumpleaƱos “
This morning ‘ Castle Radio FM 89.2 &
online of the WWW’ came back on air, Andrew Charles was presenting the Breakfast
Show, in his own inimitable style, from the studio in ‘Castillo de la Duquesa’-
I sent in a request to play ‘ Beth Hart’ – which he did, he then announced that
I will be back on air ,as soon as possible, with my live show ‘ Sir Malcolm’s
Classic Saturday Session’ Watch this space and listen out for me!!
Last night after supper we settled down to
watch the pen-ultimate episode of the excellent “ Line of Duty “ – an amputation,
a new body, and the return of the main Detective. ‘Thandie Newton’ as the Detective
trying to cover up her murder of a colleague, is still planting and hiding evidence,
the arm infection turned nasty and she ended up in hospital having to have her
hand amputated! The main Detective from AC-12 returned to work in a wheel chair
after the injuries from his attack, it looks like he is not going to walk
again! The young lad charged with the ‘Balaclava ‘ killing is innocent; the
lady Detective who is giving away all the secrets of AC-12 to the ‘ACC’ who is
involved in the overall criminal cover up, also framed a young cop to cover
herself. ‘ AC-12 ‘ is under investigation from all sides, it sounds like there
is a corruption conspiracy going back to the first series.
Finally at the end Thandie Newton arranged
to have her husband arrested for the murder after planting more evidence to incriminate
him! Its’ going to be a fascinating, nerve-frying finale, seven days seems like
a long time to wait, watch this space next Monday for the post-mortem!!

A WARM & SUNNY MANILVA ON SUNDAY;
We had a nice lie in this morning as the
village is very quiet, the church bells calling the faithful didn’t start until
later, overnight the wind has dropped also, we are having an at home day,
taking things easy as we have a busy ‘ out & about ‘ week ahead. For
breakfast we had a treat of ‘ Crispy Smoked Bacon with ‘ Campo’ Fried Eggs ‘
with buttered toast and mugs of steaming tea.
This morning we are back to normal for the
time of the year, warm & sunny, the clouds have cleared and there is no
wind breeze, the sky is bright blue and by lunchtime it’s due to reach the low
20s, overnight is also a lot milder, next week we are in for more of the same,
getting a little warmer as the week goes on, there is still the threat of some
of the wet stuff on Friday/Saturday, watch this space.
Outside the Town Hall this morning there is
‘Children’s Cultural Experience’ organised by the Council taking place, Calle
Mar is full of happy children and their parents, this evening in the Municipal
Theatre there is a children’s play.
For our supper this evening, on Brenda’s
request, we are having ‘ Baked Pork Chops’ with glazed ‘Fuji’ Apple slices; the
‘English’ Pork Chops are seared on a very hot griddle plate, to mark &
colour, before going in the oven to bake, the ‘Fuji’ Apple slices are started
in butter & sugar before also being finished in the oven.
See below;
The ‘ Vegetable Chef’ has prepared Cauliflower Florets in a three Cheese sauce, Carrot Batons with Ginger and whole Green Beans, this evening I will be making our favourite ‘ Pommes Lyonnaise ‘ – sautĆ©ed, sliced boiled Potatoes & Onions with Chopped Parsley.
