WEDNESDAY 17th/ FEBRUARY 2016.
I got up to see ‘Reina’ back for the day,
she dives into her duvet and stays there for the rest of the day, she’s no fool
as its cold all the time at the moment. Brenda stayed in bed and I joined her
for a short while before making her a cup of tea and a piece of toast with some
fresh fruit, Andrew played a track of “ Keep on Running’ by the ‘Spencer Davies
Group’ to cheer her up as this evening we are going across to the hospital in
Marbella to get her sorted out as its not getting any better! Watch this space

This morning the sky is blue and the sun is
out, there is just a very light breeze so its rather nice at the moment, its
only going to reach 14 degs by this afternoon and then its starts overnight to
get wet and windy for the next few days, the min. temperatures are hovering on
the 5/6 degs mark for now – please note Mr Ian Duncan Smith, the ‘Pensions’
Minister that stopped our Winter Fuel Allowance!! We have our single Oil Heater
on down in the lounge all day for now.
Later I’m going along to the local bank in
Calle Mar to pay the Water Bill and on the way back pick up my tablets from the
chemists, I will then go and bring the car up to the house to check the oil and
water before we go off on our travels after ‘Reina’ has been collected early
this evening, the ‘Costa Del Sol’ Hospital is under pressure so we will be
there for quiet a while in the ‘Emergency Department’ - fingers crossed that
they sort Brenda’s ankle out! Watch this space

Last night after supper we settled down to
watch the second episode of the excellent BBC 1 TV series “ Happy Valley “ - Sarah
Lancashire is a uniformed police sergeant with attitude, at the moment the
police are chasing a Multiple Killer of prostitutes, one of the Detectives in
the local police station has just murdered his girl friend by straggling her
with a cord, she was black mailing him and threatening to tell his wife and the
police, the sergeant is on a hit list of the ‘Irish Mafioso’ from Halifax after
rescuing a Polish lady who they were using for
child labour and prostitution
.
Sarah Lancashire’s sister who is a
recovering alcoholic has just hit the bottle/can at a family funeral, at the
end of the last series the sergeant was nearly killed by a Killer/ Rapist, as
she tried to arrest him, he had kidnapped the daughter of a local millionaire,
who is now a trainee police woman, the killer who is now in prison after she
finally caught him after he kidnapped her Grandson – his son – as he had raped
Sarah Lancashire’s daughter, who then hung her self! Now the killer/ rapists
Scottish girl friend has come and got a job at the local school as a teaching
assistant and is planning ‘no good’ as she makes friends with the young grandson
who is in her class!! Oh and yes the sergeant is on the suspect list, as she
has no alibi, as one of the murdered prostitutes, that she found, was the mother of
the killer/rapist who is still in prison! Watch this space !! Its only Episode
2 in “ Happy Valley “ !!
