We had a nice long lie in this morning as
the village was very quiet and of course there were no workmen on the site! For
breakfast it was time for Brenda’s famous ‘Campo’ Poached Eggs on toast with a
mug of steaming tea to get us on the way for the day ahead.
The sun is out and the sky is blue, there
is no breeze so we have another warm and sunny Manilva again; its now starting
to be the warmest November all over Spain and especially down here on the Costa
Del Sol! The start of next week is not looking too bad either!!
I then watched on BBC 1 ‘Saturday Kitchen
Live’ with mainly fish on the menu including, a Squid Risotto, then the ‘Hairy
Bikers’ made a ‘Chicken, Ham & Leek Pie’ and the Italian section was in Marsala
with a ‘Lamb’ steak recipe. For our supper this evening we are having grilled ‘Entrecote
Steak’ cooked ‘Med-Rare’ on a very hot griddle plate with whole Baby Green
Beans and twice-cooked ‘ Frits’ with lots of ‘Bearnaise’ sauce on the side!
At lunchtime we are going along to 'Bar Castill'o for an 'Al Fresco Tapas' lunch, sadly it looks like our local 'Bar Rojas' has closed,it has not been open all week and all the chairs & tables have gone, the new owner Keino has not been happy now for a while?!
We bumped into Mano and had a good catch up,it then developed into a session, we had our usual favourite Tapas but to start had the 'Saturday Special' of " Sopa Campera' which is a warm soup made with dried bread, vegetables & 'Campo' Eggs cooked in it! See below!!
As we were talking to Mano I asked him what was happening with our bank as earlier this week we had to change our on-line banking details/access after receiving a letter; it turns out the 'Targo Bank' ( French ) in Estepona, which took over 'Banco Pòpular' ( Spanish ) in Sabinillas, a couple of year ago has now gone on its own without informing us! So Mano, who was an agent for 'Banco Popular' is not happy and is on Monday checking out what is happening, we will then decide if we can still stay with 'Banco Popular' and move our account back to them with better terms!! Watch this space.

On the sports front this weekend up in
Valencia is the final race of the ‘Moto GP ‘ season as Rossi attempts to win
the Championship again from the back of the grid after knocking Marques off his
bike in the last race, the other contender for the Championship is his team mate
Lorenzo – its going to be very exciting and no doubt gripping at the end of the
race!
Meanwhile over here in ‘La Liga’ Barcelona welcome Villarreal and Real
Madrid travel to Seville; over in the ‘Premiere League’ over in England West
Ham welcome Everton and then tomorrow Manchester City travel down the M6 to
Aston Villa and Liverpool are at home to Crystal Palace.
Last night after supper we watched BBC 1
& 2 and caught ‘Have I got News for You’ ‘QI’ ‘Graham Norton’ & ‘Later
with Jools Holland’ Before them we watched on ' Channel 4' the new 'TFI' with Chris Evans and on my first programme on 'Castle Radio FM 89.2' next Sunday I will be playing in the latest 'like' spot " Hey Everybody" by " 5 seconds to Summer" a young Australian band ' LOUD'!!
Over the weekend we will be watching the ‘Remembrance’ service from the Albert Hall and the tomorrow at 11-00 am the Cenotaph march past for the first time in many years.
