We were up early this morning and after a
quick breakfast we shot out on our travels; we shot down to Sabinillas and
first picked up some cash from the bank machine, we then collected the local newspapers
at the English Bookshop before our main shop in ‘ Mercadona’ and some essentials
from ‘Super Sol’
It was then time to go
to the ‘ Banco Popular’ for our appointment with our new manager, Antonio, Mano
joined us as we checked out all the details about the accounts before signing
all the documents, we now have to arrange all the details including the
transfer of our old accounts and confirm various standing order’s, re-sign for
our online banking and wait for the new Debit Cards to arrive in the post ‘ASAP’
– fingers crossed as its Friday the 13th !!
Its as forecast a little overcast and cooler
this morning but it warmed up while we were out and the sun is braking thought
at the moment; the weekend is looking settled and the start of next week is
also fine.
We are now back at the house unpacking and
sorting ourselves out for the weekend ahead; we are meeting Andrew from ‘
Castle Radio FM 89.2 & on the WWW’ this afternoon for a planning meeting and to
check out the studio. Then its the ‘Big Day’ on Sunday morning as I go on ‘Air’
for the first time with my ‘Sunday Morning Session’ with the help of Andrew to
show me what buttons to press etc! Hopefully I will be asked back and get a
regular spot on the station as a presenter and then I will be able to broadcast
from home up in the office!!
Andrew has just sent me a Skype message and I'm now going down to the studio in ' Castillo de la Duquesa' at 6-30 pm when he's on air for his regular ' Drive Time' show, I might even get on air as his guest - watch this space!!
Tonight we are having for our supper plain
grilled ‘Fillets of Hake’ dusted in seasoned flour, I must get some Semolina ‘a
la Rick Stein’ for coating the fish for a change! We are having Saffron New Potatoes
and Green vegetables. Tomorrow evening we are having ‘Entrecote Steak’ and on
Sunday its going to be ‘Escalope of Turkey Breast’
Last night we watched on BBC 1 the ‘Tom Jones’
special with Rob Bryden, this evening we are channel hopping as first Spain
welcome England in a friendly International football game up in Alicante; then we
are back watching more Rick Stein before ‘Great Railway Journeys’ and ending
back catching the end of ‘Children in Need’
Thoughts for the Day; See above.
