MONDAY 21st/ SEPTEMBER 2015.
" COUNTDOWN TO THURSDAY 24th SEPTEMBER STARTS HERE "
We were all up early this morning as 'Reina' was due first thing, I then took 'Scruffy' for his first walk of the day before shooting down to the surgery for my appointment with the nurse for my blood tests etc.As usual 'Scruffy' slept all night either in his bed or on the marble floor,he's no problem and its a delight to have him with us.He's being collected later this afternoon and then 'Reina' later this evening,she's back tomorrow for the day.Of course 'Chispa' has arrived so all three dogs are playing around my feet!
After returning we had our usual breakfast of fresh Orange juice,Weetabix, toast,fresh fruit and tea; I made contact with Tim & Thea, they are north of Valencia and are traveling down to the Almeria area today to a place called 'Valez Blanco' - which means that they are planning to arrive here tomorrow about 4-00 ish! They are planning to stay for four days and leaving on Saturday morning on their travels! We can't wait to see them as we have not had any visitors for a couple of years at least!
While I was at the surgery I made an appointment with our Doctor, who is back from an extended sick leave, for first thing next Monday morning for the results of the tests, I'm also back at the surgery in the early evening for a session with the Chiropodist! We both need check ups and the tablets all the time to keep all the parts working as they should - at our time of life!
On the sports front yesterday Liverpool could only draw at home 1-1 with Norwich while over here Barcelona beat Levante 4-1 with Messi scoring two.
Today Brenda is in one of her 'ing' modes, ironing,cleaning, mopping, hovering ( she wants a new one!) washing,sorting, polishing, making beds etc; meanwhile I'm up in the office on the WWW catching up with all the news, E-Mails,Facebook 'Likes' & messages, and then typing and posting the Blog.
It starts each day a little overcast but by lunchtime its very warn & sunny, 30 degs and more! The forecast for the week ahead is for more of the same if not a little cooler.
At lunchtime we went along to the Chemists in 'Calle Mar' for some of our tablets,we took 'Chispa and Scruffy'and on the way back stopped at 'Bar Castillo' for a cool drink as by then it was hot; I took 'Chispa' home and collected 'Reina' from our house,we then stayed at 'Bar Castillo' for a light Tapas lunch.
When we came back to the house the post lady had dropped off some mail; the 'Will Transfers' documents have finally arrived so next week we get them signed,witnessed and send then off,
Also in the post there were more 'Birthday Cards' and an appointment with Brenda's 'Heart Consultant' for the end of January 2016! Its over a year since her last one and over six months since her scan so there can't be much wrong!!
NB; This week the Blog might be a little late at times as the 'Birthday Boy' will be out playing on the 'Costa Del Sol' as the week goes on and the birthday celebrations reach a climax! Watch this space!!
Tonight for our supper we are having ' Cold Roast Lamb' with a fry-up of all the leftover vegetables and of course the 'Boulangere' Potatoes, the Lamb was delicious, very tasty ( the garlic) and succulent, the whole meal was rather special even if I do say so myself! We are looking forward to the Lamb this evening as we love cold roast meats of any sorts.
