MILD AND BREEZY IN SUNNY MANILVA ON SATURDAY;

SATURDAY 4th/ JANUARY 2014.

We overslept this morning, all of us; we were awoken by the sound of the gas-bottler delivery man! Brenda’s famous Poached Eggs on toast set us up for the day ahead; I took Charlie for his walk just as the rain stopped, it was not forecast and had been raining all night, we just about made it back before the last shower of the day, it’s very mild but a little breeze has got up, yesterday in the afternoon when we went over to Estapona it was in fact warm, in Malaga it reached 22degs!

Andy called in as promised and sorted out the new camera, the first test picture is above – hopefully! At the same time he helped me scan the hotel brochure and send it over to Bedwyr in North Wales, we have also made contact with him on the Skype video and are calling him on Monday lunchtime.

I then sorted out tonight’s supper, ‘Steak au Poivrade’ – the Black Peppercorn are crushed and the chips have been blanched, Brenda has finely sliced the Green Beans( she will need a new slicer shortly!)

Mano & Anna called in for a chat and gossip and picked up their papers, it sounds like Anna is going back within the next week to Manchester and North Wales again on another ‘Jolly’

This afternoon at the moment the football has kicked off over in England; its ‘FA Cup’ day- third round – the early game has just finished Blackburn 1 – Man City 1! Later Everton welcome QPR - a dominant 4-0 win for the 'Blues'! and on Sunday Liverpool are at home to Oldham; over here ‘La Liga’ kicks off after the Xmas break – Barcelona v Elche on Sunday and Real Madrid v Celta de Vigo on Monday.

The late film last night was “ The Seige” from 1998 with Denzel Washington,Bruce Willis,the delectable Annette Bening and Tony Shalhoub fighting the terrorist cells that are attacking New York – watch it to the end!

Thought for the Day; See above.
