MANILVA ON SUNDAY

SUNDAY 3rd/ MARCH 2013.

After a nice lie in on Sunday morning we had our tea and toast and then got our dinner ready – I made the ‘Boulangere’ Potatoes and Brenda prepared her vegetables; the weather as forecast was overcast and cloudy and as I’ am typing this the rain is pouring down and is in for three/four days at the least – this week I have two appointments at the hospital over in Marbella, one on Tuesday with the Kidney consultant and one on Thursday with the Dermatology consultant, meanwhile on Wednesday Brenda is having the full works down at her hairdressers in Sabinillas – she says that she is going in for an ‘Operation’ as it is such a long time since the last one and it needs a serious sort out! At lunchtime we had some ‘Campo’ scrambled Eggs on Toast, they are bright Orange and you need sunglasses!

In the afternoon we settled down and watched the afternoon classic film – “Master and Commander – The Far Side of the World” from 2003. it is always a good watch and the haunting music by ‘Luigi Boccherini’ that Russel Crowe and Paul Bettany play stirs the heart every time! In the evening I pan fried the Spanish Lamb Cutlets, Pink and then placed them on top of the ‘Boulangere’ Potatoes to finish – afterwards the late film on TVE1 was another classic “ The Da Vinci Code” from 2006 with Tom Hanks and Audrey Tautou in the main parts with Ian McKellen,Alfred Molina and Paul Bettany again, this time playing a weird ‘Albino’ monk – it all came back to me as it follows the book word for word at the important parts!

Thoughts for the Day;

I think of life as a good book. The further you get into it, the more it begins to make sense. Thinking is the talking of the soul itself.
