MANILVA AT THE START OF A HELLUVA WEEK

MONDAY 11 th/ FEBRUARY 2013

Well we had a lovely long lie in on Monday morning after all the excitement on Sunday at the Carnaval in Cadiz; the weather forecast is looking good for the weekend when David and Jane are coming over, it is gradually getting warmer and by the weekend it will be 21degs.+ with clear blue skies and sunny! We have a ‘ Helluva’ time planned for them and are really looking forward to seeing them and catching up with all their news. We took things easy during the day as the old ‘Bones’ were aching after all the walking on Sunday- in all we think we walked about five miles! Brenda did Poached Eggs on Toast for breakfast to get us back into the land of the living and set us up for the rest of the day; in the evening we had Minute Steak with chips for supper and then watched the news and weather which was of course on all the main channels mostly about the resignation of the Pope – after all it is still a very catholic country at heart.I’am raiding the deep freeze this week so we are having Braised steak on Tuesday and Curry on Wednesday – the ‘Chef’ is taking it easy ! He has also got the weekend off !!

PS; We have just had the phone call from the family solicitors to say that our proposal for a rent review, down have been accepted and all the necessary repair’s and maintenance are going to be done !  A good news day !!
