THURSDAY 29th/
FRIDAY 30th/ NOVEMBER 2O12.
On Thursday
our 41st wedding anniversary we had a nice at home day; Anna as you
can see below joined us for Bucks Fizz ( Friexenet Cordon Negro ) along with
scrambled Eggs and Smoked Salmon at lunchtime – in the evening Brenda fancied
Chicken and Chips so I made Goujons of Chicken with our local Breadcrumbs from
the bakery, on the side we had our own Tomato Salsa – a little bit of what you
fancy does you good!
Friday was
as usual our shopping day down in Sabinillas; the weather is staying as
forecast sunny and clear with Blue skies but cold, in fact it was the coldest
day that we have had in Manilva,13degs and last night it went down to 6degs! I
spoke to Brian and Lilli on Facebook and they where just expecting a snow storm
to hit Pori and the temperature this weekend will be down to -20degs! – I hope that
they have their winter woolies on! After we came back we went for a walk with
Cheta down to the local market by the sports complex to pick up some flowers
and on the way back I managed to get into the Pozo Del Rey car park development
and take the pictures below of the ongoing work. In the evening for supper we
treated ourselves to a whole ‘Rodaballo’- Turbot – from the fish market, they
have it at this time of the year, I baked it in the oven with some large
shelled Gambas and after taking the four filets off, they are firm and succulent,
I coated them with a classic ‘ Beurre Noisette ’- Nut Brown Butter, we had some
Baby New Potatoes and Garden Peas on the side – food for the Gods, and us !!
We then
settled down and watched a film on TVE1; it was a very good court room drama/thriller
called “ Primal Fear ”from 1996 with Richard Gere and Laura Linney as the opposing
attorneys, Edward Norton, as the defendant, he was nominated for Best
Supporting Actor in the USA and UK, and also John Mahoney( Frasier) and Alfre
Woodard as the Judge – it has a good twist right at the end !
Thought for
the Day;
A truth
that’s told with bad intent Beats all the lies you can invent.
