SUNNY ( RAINY ) MANILVA THIS WEEK.

WEDNESDAY 7^th/NOVEMBER 2012.

Well it is still raining after three days and it looks like it is going to continue until Saturday; so we are keeping a low profile – staying in reading, watching TV, eating and doing nothing! What a life – it’ hard going when you are having fun! In the morning I got the Braised Steak and Onions on the go with the ‘Sexton’ secret recipe which includes Button Mushrooms, diced Celery,Carrots,Green Beans, Leeks and mixed Peppers- Red Wine and the secret Herbs and seasoning’s ! We had it for supper with Garden Peas and Cabbage with Alselgas along with Baby New Potatoes – scummy and just right for a damp evening in!

No live football on Spanish TV, just the highlights of all the games later in the ‘ UEFA Champions League; Chelsea won, Manchester Utd. Won – but the result of the night was Celtic beating Barcelona 2-1 at home on their 125^th anniversary ! Rod Stewart was in the crowd, a life long supporter, and was crying at the end- one of the goals for Celtic was scored by an 18 year-old kid who cost £50,000 from Aidrie!

Later we were going to watch “Casino Royale ” from 2006 with Daniel Craig playing the 007 role for the first time, sadly the local Andalusia channel went off just at it was starting – due to the weather so we ended up watching two Steven Segal movies with him being ‘Steven Segal ’ All action and no acting !

Thought for the Day;

Don’t you wish there was a knob on the TV to turn up the intelligence? There’s one marked ‘ Brightness’ but it doesn’t work!
