MANIVA LONDON OVER THE WEEKEND.

SATURDAY/SUNDAY 4th/5th/ AUGUST 2012.

On Saturday we stayed inside for most of the day – it was very hot – it also ended up pretty hot inside as the atmosphere built up on ‘ Super Saturday ’ at the Olympics ! - As we watched it on both PCs and the large screen TV!! I was up and down like a Yo-Yo as I caught all the coverage, the Spanish TVE1 and TDP channels concentrate on the Spanish competitors, of course, but also cover all the main events as they happen; what a day as the Gold’s rolled in for Team GB.
After all the excitement we had a very late ‘ Spanish Style ’supper of Steak a la Plancha with Chips and salad before we watched all the highlights again on the TV !

Yesterday, Sunday after our tea and toast and fresh fruit, Necterines we had a leisurely morning as we freshened ourselves up before going up to Bar Rojas for lunch; a little ‘ Levante ’ breeze had picked up so it was very pleasant sat under the Sombrajo as we had a small ‘ Tincture ’ with our Paella. In the afternoon later it was catch up time, we watched the Tennis live on the TV and I caught up with al the other results; in the evening we had the full coverage of the Athletics from the Olympic Stadium, remember that we are one hour behind so it meant that the 100 meters final was not on until 11-00pm here ! In the middle of the evening for a change we had a ‘ Sunday Brunch ’with anything that I could find; Campo Fried Eggs, Smoked Bacon, Tomato,Mushrooms,Chorizo, sauté Potatoes made from Baked Potatoes and Heinz Spaghetti ! No Sausages as we ate them on Thursday !! The pictures below from the Pollard Inn have started our taste buds,the Sunday Roast Beef in particular looks very good and also the Fish ‘Dish of the Day ’

OLYMPIC NEWS UPDATE – SUNDAY ;
