MANILVA YESTERDAY AFTERNOON.

SUNDAY 13TH MAY 2012.

Hot,Hot, Hot in sunny Manilva today; Brenda went for a walk with Cheta and ended up down at the football stadium were there was a International Seven-a-Side Football Tournament taking place; the ground was full and the final was not until later in the afternoon when the Paraguayan team beat Argentina,menwhile in the sports hall it was the quarter finals of the men’s Basket Ball competition. Back at ‘ Su Casa ’ I was getting the Boulangere Potatoes ready; in the evening they go in the oven for a couple of hours and the Pan Fried ‘ Chuleta’s ’are then placed on the top for the last few minutes – see the pictures below.

MANCHESTER CITY – PREMIER LEAGUE CHAMPIONS 2012.

Well it was one “ HELLUVA “ afternoon on the craziest day ever ! At 90 minutes, Manchester City’s title dreams looked dead … but TWO goals in injury time snatched the title from Manchester United !! The mission was quite simple, City needed to beat QPR, the team with the worst away record in the Premier League to win the title; Utd. scored first over in Sunderland so all the pressure was on City – Pablo Zabaleta fired City ahead but then ten-man QPR after Joey Barton was sent off first equalized and then went ahead to make it 1-2 ! Dramatic scenes inside the stadium with the City supporters in tears and the Utd. fans over at Sunderland going into delirium !The game at Sunderland finished 1-0 to Utd, meanwhile back at the City ground there was five minutes of injury time to play – Edin Dzeko equalized with three minutes of injury time left 2-2 so it was still Utd's title ! With the final kick of injury time Sergio Aguero fired in the winner 3-2 !! The Etihad Stadium will never celebrate a goal as wildly again !!! We watched the game on the large PC and followed the other games on the small PC on the BBC Sports text page, Brenda came down from the roof terrace when City scored the equalizer so see what all the noise was about as I went mad ! She stayed to see the finish, still in her Monokini !! Mano and Carlos where down in Sabinillas at a sports bar and when I last spoke to them they were spraying the Moet Chandon ! Carlos is going to have a Tattoo to celebrate City’s win – the last was 44 years ago !! The pictures above give you just a little taste of the celebrations.
