TUESDAY/WEDNESDAY 3RD/4TH/ MAY 2011.
The weather forecast for the next two days is warm and sunny 24degs/25degs and rising! So Tim and Thea have retired to the beach, I drop them down in Sabinillas and pick them up when they call! On Tuesday it was just right with a little sea breeze so they had a nice relaxing time further along the beach past Duquesa and a Chringito beach fish lunch; they also had a bit of excitement as they spotted just off the beach a small boat which was very full with people and low in the water ! It was illegal immigrants from Africa trying to land; we heard the Guardia Civil helicopter going over the house at the same time and this morning the pictures were on the local TV Station! In the afternoon Mano, Anna, Carlos and Fabio called in after they had a Tapas lunch up in Bar Rojas, Mano and Carlos were both off so they were out to play! Tim had asked us for one of our at home dinners so I made a large Chicken and Mushroom Pie with Pommes Baitaile and served with Carrots, Peas and Whole Green Beans, a fine Rioja helped it go down, we had an Avocado ( From the villa in Guadalmina ) and Prawn salad to start and a fresh fruit platter to finish. The picture below shows the folks around the table. We then watched the second leg of the Barcelona v Real Madrid match, Barcelona won! As it was going on Mano was up in Bar Rojas so I was running up and down our street with my whistle and Red and Yellow cards to get the locals going and stir Manolo, the owner up, he is a Real Madrid supporter! When Real Madrid scored he came down to the house and gave me the whistle!! After the match finished Mano and Anna called in and we had a few drinks with them.
This morning,Wednesday,I dropped them back on the beach, tonight on the way back up we are going to call into see Mano and Anna as tonight we are going out for our final dinner and Harry and Diane are coming over to join us, in the morning we have an early start to get then over to the airport in Malaga.
PS; The pictures above show us at our final dinner with Harry and Diane, the full report will appear later, just to say that we had very memorably old fashioned meal.
