MANILVA.

Saturday/Sunday 22nd/23rd August 2009.

Saturday 22nd.

We are having a quite weekend getting ready for going back to the villa in Tarifa and are just staying at home and enjoying the house; it is a lot hotter in Manilva as there is no wind and by the late afternoon it is siesta time, we then go up on the roof terrace and have our drinks as we listen to the local music station, Kiss FM and catch up with some reading. For supper we had flattened Chicken breast, pan fried in a lemon butter sauce and fresh local frits washed down with a local chilled Rosado, we then walked up to Bar Rochas for a nightcap and sat outside on the main street watching and chatting to the locals as our Spanish gets a little better everyday!

Sunday 23rd.

After a good lie in, our last for a while we had a light cooked breakfast of Eggs, Bacon and Sausage, not the full brunch! And then went up to Bar Rochas to say goodbye and have our last drink in the village for a couple of months at least, we shall be missed! In the evening we had Chicken the same as last night but finished with Balsamic Vinegar and new potatoes (The breasts were huge!!) And finally on a beautiful day in Manilva England regained the Ashes from Australia, sorry to all our extended family over there !!
