CASA OLIMPIA.

Monday 3rd August 2009.

I was up early and out as I had a lot of running about; Brenda meanwhile was washing and ironing as we had a phone call from Chris’s younger daughter, Nina, last night to say that she is coming out for ten days on the 13th August with her husband and two children and his mother. They will need the three bedrooms so we are going to have ten days back at home in Manilva! This morning I called at the house to pick up the mail, then at the surgery to get my prescriptions renewed; I then met Mano and arranged to get the rest of the work finished by the end of the week, the last of the garden clearance, fencing put up, pool finished, the top terrace completed and the master bedroom painted and also the downstairs toilet reinstated. Next week before they arrive Mano and Anna are coming across for a day to help us spring clean the villa as it is not in our normal remit! In the post was another lovely letter from Nan Horsley,Jane’s mum,catching us up with all her news;it is so nice to receive a hand written letter that shows the senders personality,thanks Nan! At the same time there was a letter sent on from Tim and Thea,they let us use their address for any outstanding mail in the UK which was a nice little cheque from an old investment! I then popped down to the bank in Estepona as we are having problems with bank transfers from England to do with our payments from Chris and also spoke to Chris to arrange to transfer more funds for the ongoing work.On the way back I picked up the English papers from the bookshop and collected some essentials,HP brown sauce and Lea and Perrins ! Tonight we are having a Chicken Fricassee with Basmati Rice for supper.
