Thursday/Friday 20th/21st August 2009.

Thursday 20th.

We had a day at home and took things easy, all our neighbors have been asking us where we have been and we have been telling them that we are going away again on Monday;the owners of Bar Rochas Manolo and Lume have been very kind and are looking after us very well at the same time and everybody in the village is very sorry that we will not be there for the Vendimia Wine Festival on the weekend of 5th/6th September!

Friday 21st.

This morning we got our selves all dolled up and went across to see Joan on her 91st Birthday, on the way we picked up some white and yellow lilies and took with us a nice bottle of pink cava to toast her with; she was not to well and so she stayed upstairs, we think that all the excitement of having the family staying at the villa has got to her a little bit and she had also had a fan in her bedroom fall over during the night and it was blowing cold air on her as she slept. Anyway all the family gathered round and in the pool,Lucas,Gemma’s ex husband brought their two son’s over from Marbella so Joan has four great grandchildren at the villa! The new slide was soon in use, into the pool as we sang happy birthday to a great old lady! Nina and her family are enjoying their stay at the villa and don’t want to go home on Monday.
