SUNNY MANILVA ON WEDNESDAY

WEDNESDAY 4th/ SEPTEMBER 2013.

We had another little lie in this morning, after breakfast I shot down to our butchers and picked up the Pork Chops ( English Thick Cut) for tonight’s supper, the Burgers for tomorrows meal,Pork,Beef and Chicken( 1 of each) along with some ‘Albondegas’( Meatballs) for Tapas cooked in the famous Tomato salsa! When I got back we then went for a walk down to Bodega Augustin( The Office) for a morning coffee.

The weather is changing, it’s now officially Autumn so the overall temperatures are dropping a little; this morning its very pleasant as there is a little ‘Lavante’ breeze but it is still warm and sunny in sunny Manilva! During the night its also a lot more pleasant and bearable and you can now have a sheet over you which makes you sleep better.

This afternoon I will catch the ‘Vuelta 2013’ on TDP as the Time Trial over 39kms around the Northern town of Tarazona in the region of Aragon takes place; tomorrows stage 12 is a fast ride from Maella down to the coast at Tarragona over 165kms before the tough stages ahead!

Fabian Cancellara the Swiss rider won the Time Trial and Nibali re-gained the RED jersey as you can in the picture above, the race started in the center of the round buildings that you can see.

We will be up on the roof terrace later to catch up with our reading as we listen to a local 24h a day music station broadcasting from Cadiz called ‘ Canal Fiesta Radio’ which plays easy listening pop/soft, we are now able to sing along and dance to the tunes as we get to know them! The ‘Happy Hour Cocktails’ also help!

Tonight for supper we are having the Pork Chops baked in the oven with Apple slices along with ‘Breton’ Potatoes and Carrot batons and cut Broad Beans before we catch a film after channel hunting.

Thought for the Day; See above.
