THURSDAY 15th OCTOBER 2015.
We are back ! As you can see the new computer system is up and running with some little problems still to be resolved, I can·t publish my pictures, there is no " Apostrophe" on the Spanish key board?! ( sorry Josie!) and I have not mastered the new " Word " page just yet! Help is on the way with Lee & Daniela who are going to stop and help me this evening as they are collecting Reina.
My two large screens, 22 inch "LG"& 24 inch "Samsung" are spectacular, the tower/stack is working fine, everything is so fast! The key board and mouse,both " Logitech" are very responsive and the new " Logitech " sound system is loud! The video camera is also " Logitech" The picture and sound as we made our first " Skype" video call to Jack & Lyn over in Melbourne was very clear with a good connection.See the pictures above.
Ben the owner of " Pc-Macs.es" from Estepona has customised the system and installed all my main favourites etc,from the old " PC·s" - he then came over and installed the system and set up at the same time my 17 inch "Dell PC"- ( he cleared it down and installed a new key board) - to our main large screen TV in the lounge so we can now watch all the sport ( Rugby Union World Cup!) and English TV when we want too! Also there is a film channel to watch any films we want to see!
Andy my usual " IT " consultant is away in England as his mother died on Monday, I took him to the airport over in Malaga on Tuesday morning in his car and I am picking him up on Saturday evening.
I was up first this morning to welcome " Reina " here for the day in " Doggy World Heaven " We have been busy while we have been off line with Scruffy for a sleep over and Scoobie for ten days, he was collected last weekend; Chispa is now out and about again after her " Lock down " as it was her time of the year!
Next week Reina is with us on Tuesday & Wednesday as we have two new dogs with us for a short four day break from Thursday, " Barny" - a Rhodesian Ridgeback and his very little mate " Maisie " who is a Chihuahua!! - " Little & LARGE"!!
The sky is blue and the sun is out as its been a little overcast for a few days as there is an Atlantic Hurricane coming across Spain and the tail end is hitting us with some rain over night on Monday, the temperature·s have also dropped a little, its 17 degs overnight and only 26/27 degs during the day! There is no breeze so its hot today.
The " Menus " for the rest of week are planned, I have just made a large pan of " Beef & Mushroom Curry " not Chicken - on Brenda·s request for tonight supper,tomorrow night we are having Hake Fillets in a sauce and then on Saturday I making " Braised Steak & Onions " to go in the oven with Brenda·s famous Mashed Potato while I·m out collecting Andy from the airport!
On Sunday evening we are having " Roast Loin of Pork " with lots of vegetables and Goose Fat Roast potatoes, I·m going to slice it thick into steaks for a change; Andy is joining us as he·s not back in work until Wednesday, he·s also single again as Maria and him have parted!
We are back into our old routine after all the excitement of my 70 th birthday celebrations, the village is very quiet at this time of the year, we have been for a drink at Bar Castillo and one night we had supper at Bar Rojas, Brenda had a beautiful steak of Swordfish!
On the building site the work goes on with the usual disruptions every day,the forecast is that it will be finished in two months - watch this space.
Our " Happy Hour " is now in the lounge in the late afternoon, so we watch a new channel on the TV which at the moment is showing all the "James Bond" films in sequence!
