SUNDAY 6TH.JUNE 2010.
Today in the village was the festival of “ Corpus Christi ” It dates back to 1263 when the then Pope made it a day of thanksgiving for the institution of the Holy Communion; Corpus Christi is Latin for the Body of Christ, the pictures below show the young children in their costumes as they make their way down to the church after a small service in Calle Mar ,at the top of our street, to take their first communion. The village choir sang as they gathered around the small Altar that was set up across the street.
